Reflecting on the First Half of the Year
With the FIFA World Cup officially wrapped up, we are taking a moment to share our own halftime report.
The first six months of 2026 brought meaningful progress across Newlook Capital’s Dental Fund and Industrial and Infrastructure Services Fund III.
Both funds continued to advance their acquisition strategies, strengthen their underlying platforms and pursue opportunities within essential service industries.
As we enter the second half of the year, our focus remains clear:
- Identify durable businesses
- Deploy capital with discipline
- Support the long-term growth of our investment platforms
The Newlook Capital Dental Fund continued its growth during the first half of 2026 with the addition of its 36th clinic in Wasaga Beach, Ontario.
The acquisition expanded Dentalook’s presence within the Georgian Bay and Simcoe region while supporting the platform’s broader strategy of acquiring established dental clinics in attractive Canadian markets.
The Fund’s acquisition pipeline remains active, with several additional opportunities under review.
A greater proportion of equity within the capital structure may provide the platform with increased flexibility as it evaluates future acquisition and growth opportunities. This milestone strengthens the foundation of the Dentalook platform as the team continues to pursue disciplined expansion.
The Industrial and Infrastructure Services Fund III team remained active throughout the first half of the year.
A potential new platform investment has progressed into the later stages of diligence, with closing on the horizon. The investment remains subject to the completion of due diligence, final approvals and customary closing conditions.
The Fund is also continuing to evaluate smaller tuck-in acquisitions, with a particular focus on expanding its Canadian fire and life safety services platform.
Tuck-in acquisitions can help strengthen an existing platform by expanding its geographic reach, adding capabilities, increasing operating scale and supporting integration opportunities. This activity allows the Fund to continue building value within its current portfolio while advancing potential new platform investments.
In May, Newlook Capital hosted its inaugural Private Markets Forum in Burlington, Ontario.
The event brought together an intimate group of advisors, investment professionals and industry experts to discuss the role private market investments may play in portfolio construction, particularly during periods of economic and market uncertainty.
The forum included perspectives on private equity, diversification, risk management and investing in businesses that provide essential and recurring services.
The event reflected Newlook Capital’s continued commitment to supporting advisors and Investors with practical education, timely market insights and direct access to the people behind its investment strategies.
The first half of the year included several meaningful opportunities to connect with advisors, investors, partners and members of the broader community.
Newlook Capital enters the second half of 2026 with active acquisition pipelines across both funds.
For the Dental Fund, the focus remains on identifying established clinics with strong operating fundamentals, attractive locations and opportunities for long-term platform growth.
For IISF III, the team will continue advancing multiple potential platform investments while pursuing tuck-in acquisitions that may strengthen and expand its existing businesses.
Across both strategies, Newlook Capital remains focused on disciplined deployment, operational improvement and investing in essential service businesses with recurring demand.
To date, neither fund has missed a scheduled distribution. Past distributions are not indicative of future results, and distributions are not guaranteed.
We look forward to keeping our advisors, partners and investors informed as the year progresses.
